I was referred to Business South to film an industry breakfast in Cromwell, where tech industry specialists across local businesses got the chance to meet and speak with local school representatives. They shared a lot about how they use tech in their businesses, and the aim was to feed that information forward through the school reps to students who would be interested in potential career paths in tech.
The goal for me was to come in and film for the entirety of the breakfast, capturing highlights of speeches, table conversations, overall atmosphere, and to conduct interviews of the school representatives and industry professionals.
Because I am a registered teacher, I felt like conducting the interviews and capturing the vibe was easy for me. I felt I was able to understand the goals of the Ministry of Education in communicating the impact of an event like this, and made sure to capture authentic and relatable imagery and interview footage.
A great event and nice to be able to mix my teaching experience with my professional videography experience.
