I was flown up from Queenstown for this project with SIEBA International Education Conference in Auckland. SIEBA is a bi-annual conference for schools with international student programs that facilitates networking sessions, workshops, keynote speeches and a trade show where school representatives can network and learn from other school programs around the country.
The conference wanted a whole refresh of their photo library because it had been about 6 years since their latest set of images were updated. COVID had gotten in the way of their company making progress on the marketing collateral.
Because I am also a primary school teacher, I was able to easily integrate into the 2 day conference, where my mission wasn’t so much to cover the “whole event,” but find those key moments during the 2 days that created a whole picture of what the conference is really about.
The shoot involved going from location to location around conference centre, shooting a mixture of candid and set up shots.
A great experience to be able to mesh my teaching background with the professionalism of capturing content for the conference. These photos will be used for years to come on any variety of marketing collateral as they continue to market to schools and representatives to come along and learn from others in the industry.
